This job sounds like the most common listing in the area and better represents what would be avaliable on a daily basis. I am not familiar with the company but it is within the DFW area which is a plus. They empasize having the ability to design, develop, and implement websites with HTML, CSS, and Javascript which are all skills I am in the process of learning and enjoy. Working for a software company would be a great first experience int the developer world, so this job seems like a good fit for a new graduate.
While I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore gamer, I would call myself a casual gamer with 90% of the games in my regular rotation being on my Nintendo Switch. I am a big fan of some of their major game franchises and I think it would be the coolest thing ever to be able to work with Nintendo as a Web Designer. The only downside to this job is that it is in Washington, but the state is very pretty and I am at a stage in my life where I would be willing to move to Washington for a few years to work, or just move out of Texas in general to experience somewhere new. The job listing is a little more vague but includes skills like Figma, which I am becoming more famililar with and is my preferred prototyping software of choice for UX/UI design. It also mentions having a Bachelor's in a creative field or the equivalent combination in education and experience, which gives me great hope that they would be willing to hire graduates.
I've been working in retail for the past 2 years and whenever I am looking for a job I always keep in mind my opinions towards the compnay and whether I care about the products they sell or the type of benefits I would recieve as an employee. I have always loved crafting ever since I was a kid and going to Michaels to shop was always used as a reward for good grades or accomplishments. I think this job would be a great fit for me since I have persued a retail job at Michaels before and I love to shop at their stores. The front end developer job would be a huge step up from a cashier, but I feel it would be more applicable to my professional career interests. The listing is also close to home and is hybrid, which is the perfect amount of office and at home time and I would prefer going in more than staying fully at home.
