Formed in 2010 after signing with Simon Cowell at Syco Records after coming in third on the wildly popular British singing competition show "The X Factor", One Direction became an overnight sensation after their hit single "What Makes You Beautiful" hit the global radio in 2011. One Direction's members Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and prevoisuly Zayn Malik (until his departure in 2015) toured all around the world, performing in sold-out stadiums full of hysterical teenage fans and cranked out 5 abulms in five years until their offical hiatus in 2016. Now, each of the band members are accomplished solo artist but are still beloved by fans as members of One Direction.
