A Very British Musical Dinner

Guest #1: Harry Styles

Harry Styles is a British singer-songwriter and actor who was a part of the British boyband One Direction before their hiatus is 2016. He is easily the most famous male musician in the world at this point, and has won a Grammy for his sophomore album, "Fine Line". I have been a fan of his since his 1D days and his music perfectly combines creative pop and rock elements that I really enjoy. I would want to invite him because he is just a really kind, down to earth person who would care to have an actual conversation and enjoy time away from the spotlight.

Guest #2: Jacob Collier

Jacob Collier is an English singer-songwriter and prodigal musical genius with a mastery of over 10 musical instruments including keyboard, guitar, bass, and drums. He is basically a one-man band as he writes, plays, and mixes all of his songs in a small music room in his house. He is the first British artist to recieve a Grammy for all 4 of his albums. I was recently introduced to him a couple of months ago, but ever since then I have been hooked on his jazzy style and amazed at the complexity and layers that make up his songs. I would invite him because I would just want to pick his brain on all things music and maybe get a personal performance out of him and the rest of my musical guests.

Guest #3: Coldplay

Formed in 1996 and consisting of Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, Will Champion, and Phil Harvey, Coldplay are a London based rock band. I remember hearing them on the radio for as long as I remember, and their latest album "Music of the Spheres" is an otherworldly experience to listen to. Having already collaborated with Jacob Collier multiple times, I would mainly host this dinner so that I could bribe them with food and get them to convince Harry Styles to get on board to collab train and create the best collab song known to man.
